PORTERS

Whatever your ability, you’ll feel right at home at Porters. They’ve got gentle runs and easy lifts for beginners and kids, long cruising runs for the intermediates and super challenging terrain for advanced skiers and riders. There are around 285 hectares with 678 vertical meters of winter playground for you to enjoy and explore!

BROKEN RIVER (BR)

Broken River is one of NZ's unique "Club" fields, run and maintained by Broken River Ski Club members. They're open to the public. You don't need to be a member to be ski there, so don't be shy.  They love to see you on their slopes. They are extremely proud of their Club, it's heritage and what the mountain offers.  A strong, close-knit community is as important as the great terrain and riding.  So, if you are after something special and a little different then you've come to the right place.

MT CHEESEMAN

Known for its distinctive fun, friendly vibe, Cheeseman is a club ski field that promotes a fun, family environment in an alpine setting.  It's open to the public, offering great value for money.  The mountain has a sunny aspect with groomed runs and off-piste terrain that caters for all abilities.  The two T-bar lifts provide access to the whole mountain with a learners’ rope tow in their dedicated learners’ area.

CRAIGIEBURN VALLEY SKI AREA (CV)

Located in the heart of New Zealand's Southern Alps, where the ups are good, and the downs are even better. Steep narrow chutes, wide open powder bowls, uncrowded runs or just a place to take it easy in the awesome vista of the Craigieburn Range. If you are an advanced or expert rider then skiing The Big One at Craigieburn is your holy grail!

MT OLYMPUS

The 150 acre ski area is set in a high, south-facing basin, shaped a bit like a baseball mitt below the 2096 Mt Olympus peak.  It is an ideal aspect for catching the big southerly powder dumps that give the Canterbury region its reputation for having the biggest and most consistent annual snowfall in New Zealand - over 4.5 metres (that's nearly 15 feet)!  The skiable area is serviced by four high capacity rope tows with plenty more available within a short hike from the lifts.
